Itinerary Details
Arrive in Shimla by morning. Start your journey to Chitkul in a traveler or similar vehicle. Reach Chitkul or Sangla by evening. Check in to your hotel or camp. Freshen up and enjoy a bonfire (if weather allows). Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, begin a scenic drive through the valley. Enjoy stunning views of the Baspa River and surrounding mountains. Stop at Nako, a peaceful village, visit the calm and serene Nako Lake. Leave for Tabo. Dinner and overnight stay in Tabo.
Wake up early and have breakfast. Today’s journey takes you deeper into Spiti. Visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, the spiritual Gue Monastery, and if weather permits, explore Pin Valley National Park, known for its high-altitude wildlife. Reach Kaza, the main town of Spiti, and check into your homestay. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, explore three unique villages:
- Langza: Famous for its giant Buddha statue and fossil-rich soil.
- Komic: The world’s highest motorable village.
- Hikkim: Home to the world’s highest post office.
Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.
Today, visit some of Spiti’s most iconic spots:
- Key Monastery: A beautiful monastery perched on a hill, offering panoramic views.
- Kibber Village: Known for snow leopard sightings and high-altitude charm.
- Chicham Bridge: Asia’s highest suspension bridge, a thrilling sight.
Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, begin your return journey. Drive through scenic landscapes and reach Kalpa by evening. Enjoy views of the majestic Kinner Kailash Range. Check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the famous Suicide Point in Kalpa. Then drive back to Shimla, where you’ll board a Volvo bus to Delhi. Reach Delhi the next morning with memories to last a lifetime.

Winter in Spiti is harsh and temperatures are known to plummet to lesser than -35 degrees Celsius at night. Winter travel in Spiti is all about cold. (brrr.colder) and coldest. It is quite likely that everything is frozen and there is no running water in the taps hence everyone use dry toilets. A word of caution: If you are someone who doesn't like the cold or cannot bear extremely cold temperatures, please give up the idea of visiting Spiti in winter. Also, it is advisable to avoid bathing during this trip since water is only available for survival.
Equipment: Back Pack/Rucksack- 50 to 60 litres, Head torch or Torch-1 nos. and Water bottle 1L-2 nos.
Footwears: Trekking/Hiking boots/ Snow boots, Floaters/Sleepers- 1 pair, Sports/ trekking socks - 4 pair and Woolen socks - 2 pair
Clothing: Down jacket - 1nos. (Comfortable till -15 temp), Pants 2 -3 nos (Winter woolen trek pants). T shirts - 3nos, Fleece - 2 nos ( woolen fleece). Gloves-1 Nos ( Waterproof woolen gloves). Sun cap- 1 Nos, Woolen Cap - 1 nos (carry one cap extrafor layering). Neck Warmer/bandana - 1 nos (woolen bandana), Quick Dry Napkin/Towel - 1 nos and Undergarments - 3 to 4 pairs and Thermal inner wear - 2 Pair.
Miscellaneous: Toiletries, Toilet paper ( Wet Tissues), Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Facewash, Petroleum jelly, Cold creams and Sun- screen SPF 40 etc First Aid medical Kit: (Medication for common disorders i.e.cold, fever, diarrhea, vomits etc, Crepe bandage, Stick band aid, ORS, glucose, instant pain relief spray i.e Volini, Relisprey etc and personal medication if any)

- Booking amount is non-refundable.
- Cheques are not accepted.
- Guests may confirm bookings via online transfer. A screenshot or scanned copy of the payment receipt must be shared along with personal details.
- Identification & Boarding
- Valid government-issued ID is mandatory for boarding.
- No entry will be permitted without proper identification.
- Travel Conduct & Safety
- Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited during travel.
- Any guest found intoxicated at the time of boarding will be denied entry, and no refund will be issued.
- Travel Gypsy Pvt Ltd reserves the right to discontinue a guest’s participation in the trip due to misconduct or safety concerns.
- AC will be turned off during hill drives and waiting periods for safety and vehicle performance.
- Itinerary Changes & Upgrades
- Any changes to the itinerary, upgrades in accommodation, or extended stays will incur additional charges.
- Guests will be informed in advance for approval and payment.
- Force Majeure & Natural Events
- Costs arising from natural calamities (e.g., landslides, roadblocks), political disturbances, health issues, or other unforeseen events must be borne by the guest.

- Personal Responsibility
- Guests are responsible for carrying their own winter gear, medications, and personal items.
