This short tour will show you the highlights of both in just few days. Visit the Cu Chi tunnels, excellent war museums, and history of Former Saigon, before setting out to explore the culture and floating markets of the Delta by boat.

Days 01
Arrival Hanoi
Arrival at Hanoi international airport (Noi Bai International), meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Later you can explore the Old Quarter of Hanoi for a cycle ride around the Old Streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake. Browse through art galleries, handicraft shops and cafes, followed by a Water Puppet Show, a typical art performance of people in Red River Delta. Overnight in hotel
Days 02
Hanoi
After breakfast at hotel, leave for sightseeing of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum before exploring his house on stilts and lush garden. A short walk from the mausoleum is one of the great symbols of Hanoi, the One Pillar Pagoda, and an 11th-century wooden temple built on a single stone pillar in the water. It was designed to resemble a blooming lotus. Pass by the Presidential Palace to the West Lake where you will visit one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam named Tran Quoc, meaning “protecting the country”. Also visit to venerable Temple of Literature built in 1077 – Vietnam’s first university. Continue with the Museum of Ethnology where display artifact’s of 54 minority groups in Vietnam. Days 03
Hanoi – Ninh Binh
After breakfast at hotel leave to Ninh Binh Province, one of the most picturesque country sides just outside Hanoi. At Ninh Binh visit to Hoa Lu – Vietnam’s first capital in the 10th century before it was moved to Thang Long (Hanoi today) in 1010 and the remains of Dinh& Le Kings’ Temples. Later afternoon visit to small village by a small rowing boat. Enjoy the beauty of Tam Coc (meaning 3 caves), also called “Ha Long Bay on land”. Explore the caves and then row back to the boat quay. Ride a cow cart or a bike to Bich Dong temple, 2 km from Tam Coc, which was conferred the title “Vietnam’s second most beautiful grotto” by a King. Climb up NguNhac Son (Buddha’s Palm Mountain), and take in the marvelous scenery offered by the mountains, rivers and pagodas. Overnight in hotel at Ninh Binh.
Days 04
Ninh Binh
After breakfast at hotel depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich farmlands of the Delta of Red River and the landscape of rice fields, water buffalo, the daily life of the Vietnamese village. Arrive in Ha Long Bay and board your cruise. Lunch on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may stop for a while for visiting one of the best caves on the bay. Later on, the boat will dock for overnight. Dinner and overnight on boat.
Days 05
Ha Long Bay – Hanoi
As the morning sun rises and greets you from the sea horizon, you can join a Tai Chi lesson for some early morning exercise and watch the sunrise over the bay before breakfast. You will also visit a beautiful limestone grotto, then head back to the boat for a final glimpse of Ha Long Bay while cruising back to the dock. Disembarking around 11:00, then your driver will transfer you back to Hanoi. Overnight in hotel
Days 05
Hanoi – Departure
Breakfast at hotel and free time till you pick up for departure transfer to airport to board flight for onwards destination.
